If the Field of Light display at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center left you wanting more, check out the Lightscape display that’s coming to Houston this winter.
The event, presented by Reliant, features an illuminated trail that winds through the Houston Botanic Garden and is set to holiday music.
This year marks the second year of the show, which will feature previously shown displays like “Winter Cathedral,” “Neon Tree” and “Fire Garden,” plus new creations by artists from around the world. Among the new installations is one called “Bluebonnets,” which is unique to Texas.

The installation “Framed,” by Mandylights, features 20 geometric arches lined with color-changing, pixel-mapped LED fittings to create a tunnel of light effect. Twenty-four spiraling trees make up the “Nautilus Forest.”
Food and drinks will be available, along with fire pits for roasting s’mores.
The Houston Botanic Garden is located at One Botanic Lane in Houston.

The exhibit runs Nov. 18 through Jan. 1 in Houston. It will also be at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden Nov. 18-Jan 8 and the San Antonio Botanical Garden Nov. 11-Jan. 8.
Timed tickets – at 15-minute intervals – are $28 for adults and $18 for children. (Discount with Garden membership.) Reduced cost tickets are available on some off-peak nights.
