McKinney Roughs Nature Park will host a Halloween party featuring hayrides, trick-or-treating along a wooded trail and a chance to try outdoor activities like archery and zip-lining on Oct. 18.
This year’s fifth annual Tricks, Treats and Trails event will also include Halloween face painting, caricatures, a petting zoo, an inflatable bounce house and paintball.
Costumes are encouraged. A photographer will be on hand to take pictures of those who want to enter a costume contest. The top photos will be posted on LCRA’s social media accounts, and the one that gets the most votes will win a stay at one of LCRA’s parks.
Food will be available from vendors including The Cheesy Sergeant, Dolce Bacio Gelato and Fancy Funnel Cakes.
The family-friendly event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for ages 4 and older, or free for children 3 and younger. A ticket that includes zip lining costs $25.
