f you’ve made a trip to Zilker Park recently, you probably know that parking’s often a problem. Starting May 25, you can park off site and hop the free Zilker Park shuttle to Austin’s most loved oasis.
The Austin Parks and Recreation Department is offering the free weekend-only service from the One Texas Center parking garage at 505 Barton Springs Road to the park. The shuttle service will operate between noon and 8:30 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday until Sept. 2, plus the Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day holidays.

Free parking is available at garage as long as the shuttle driver validates your parking pass. No dogs or other pets are allowed on the Zilker shuttle.
Parking at Zilker Park could be especially difficult this year, because the lower parking lot nearest the main pool entrance closed in February while crews work on bathhouse renovations. It will remain closed for at least a year. Upper level parking areas remain open.
