Live musicians and choirs will sing holiday carols inside the park’s Discovery Cavern every weekend between Dec. 3 and 23.

The cave’s formations, which look like a giant used wet sand to create drapes, strips of bacon, popcorn, columns and more, create excellent acoustics for music, according to cave promoters.
Besides enjoying the holiday carols, visitors can walk through a lighted display, admire a towering Christmas tree, get their photo taken with Santa Claus, listen to Mrs. Claus read stories, sip hot chocolate, and toast marshmallows over a fire during the Christmas at the Caverns event. Skating on a synthetic skating rink (we’re still in Texas, after all) is free for children ages 3 to 11.

The Caverns will collect food and donations for the New Braunfels and San Antonio food banks to help families in need. Every guest who brings a non-perishable food item will get a free s’mores kit, and a portion of all ticket sales will benefit the charities.
Admission is $21.99 for adults and $16.99 for children ages 3-11. The Caroling in the Cavern tour costs add an additional $15 for adults and $11 for children.
