Austin hasn’t felt quite like the Live Music Capital of the World lately, with the pandemic forcing the cancellation of most concerts and live music sets.
That’s why we’re happy to see a series of live outdoor performances at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort & Spa near Bastrop. The only caveat? The shows are only open to guests who book a stay at the family friendly resort, which has its own lazy river, golf course, hiking trails and equestrian center.
The resort is partnering with Visit Bastrop to put on the Live at Lost Pines music series. The shows will take place at the resort’s outdoor amphitheater, against the backdrop of the Colorado River.
“The series is designed to provide an unforgettable getaway paired with performances from some of the best bands around,” said Cory Baum, director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines
The socially-distanced performances are planned for March 5, 6, 26 and 27. On Fridays, bands will perform an acoustic set between 4 and 6 p.m. On both Friday and Saturday, the bands will play between 7 and 9 p.m.
First up is Kathryn Legendre and Brian Broussard on Friday, March 5. Chubby Knuckle Choir will perform Saturday, March 6.
